- The Canadian government grants permanent residence visa to members of the family class and economic class, which consist of (skilled workers, under the skilled worker class Quebec skilled worker class, Provincial nominee’s class and the business Immigrants). To immigrate to Canada and become a Canadian Permanent Resident, you will need to first apply for and be issued a Canada immigration (Permanent Resident) visa.
- Immigration is process in which people migrate to Canada to reside in the country. The majority of these individuals become Canadian citizens. You can immigrate to Canada in different ways. If you would like to come to Canada you will either have to come as a visitor, worker or student, each of these immigration programs has different application and eligibility requirements.
In most circumstances, some people are not allowed to come to Canada. These people are known as “inadmissible” under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). Under Canada’s Immigration Act, you either will be INADMISIBLE – a decision on your admissibility can only be made when you apply to come to Canada or at the PORT OF ENTRY. A person may be denied a visa, refused entry to, or removed from Canada on the grounds of inadmissibility which is: (1) Security Risk
- Espionage- spying or usage of spies, mainly by the government
- Subversion(attempts to over throw a government)
- Violence or terrorism, or
- Members in an organization involved in any of these.
- You have committed human or international rights violations
- You have been convicted of a crime, or you have committed an act outside Canada that would be a crime
- You have ties to an organize crime
- You have serious health problems
- You have serious financial problem
- You lied in your application or in an interview
- You do not meet the conditions in Canada’s immigration law, or
- One of your family members is not allowed in Canada
Normally if you are inadmissible to Canada, you will not be permitted to enter Canada, unless a valid reason is provided on why you must travel to Canada, in which you may be issued a temporary resident permit.
ADMISSIBLE – ADMISSIBLE- once background and security checks have been conducted and you have been cleared of the grounds that are listed above, you will be permitted to enter Canada.
- When you have are permitted to enter Canada, you must respect the law. Abiding the law, no illegal activity should be taken place, because, if it does happen and you are caught, it may cost you your visa, and you may be banned from entering the country again.
