Criminality
What does it mean to be criminally inadmissible:
A person who wishes to enter Canada, either permanently or temporarily as visitors, foreign workers or international students, may be rejected entrance to Canada if they or their dependents are deemed criminally inadmissible. An individual might be defined as inadmissible on the grounds of either- Criminality
- Serious criminality
Criminality inside of Canada can be known as:
- A conviction of an indictable offence punishable by a ruling of ten years or less or
- Convicted of Two or more summary offences.
Criminality outside of Canada can be known as:
- A conviction of an offence that would be equal to an indictable offence punishable by a judgment of less than ten years if it were committed in Canada.
- A conviction of two or more offences that would be the same as to a summary offence if it were committed in Canada.
- A conviction of an offence that would be the same as to a hybrid offence punishable by a ruling of less than ten years if committed in Canada; or
- The commission of an offence that would be the same as to an indictable offence punishable by a sentence of less than then years if committed in Canada.
